Meet the founder of DRIP Co.

Hi, My Name is Addison Abney

What began as emails and handwritten notes to close friends in 7th grade has grown into DRIP Co. (Dear Random Important Person). My goal has always been simple: to spread kindness, encouragement, and positivity one note at a time. While I originally chose to remain anonymous so the message could stand on its own, I eventually realized that sharing my story could inspire even more people to join the movement.

Today, DRIP Co. notes can be found across the country, and I continue to encourage confidence and kindness through personalized videos and content on Instagram @arippleeffectofkindness. As a recent high school graduate preparing to attend Catholic University of America, I am excited to continue growing this mission by establishing a DRIP Co. club on campus and encouraging college students to become Kindness Distributors in their own communities.

DRIP Co. has already expanded into schools, with active clubs at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee, and Evangelical Christian School in Cordova, Tennessee. These student-led groups help create a culture of encouragement by distributing positive messages throughout their schools and communities.

I have always been passionate about motivating and uplifting others, and I invite you to join this ripple effect of kindness. Whether you’re a student, educator, business owner, or community leader, you can help make a difference through simple acts of encouragement.
